The Queer Eye guys take on a would-be Trump apprentice tomorrow night on Bravo. What a great idea to suggest in the on-air teaser promos that something might be done with Trump's hair along the way.

Ron Bloom's talking. I'm multitasking. I'll have to listen to this one again away from the desktop. He is a smooth talker. He does understand advertising. I used to sell radio, long time ago for a couple of years. It's a tough pitch to agencies, who are supposed to be into narrow targeting, but in practice the planners and buyers prefer TV; there's more money it for the agency, and less work. At least that's the way it used to be in the 80s. Things could have changed.

Nice of Bill to make Lisa a badge. I haven't read the manual draft to date, but I'll bet she explains things well. It's a gift and a skill, I think. Documentation is hard work when done right. Make it simple but not insulting, concise yet complete. All sorts of balances that need to be struck.

Steve from Business Week's Blogspotting says goodbye to "Dead Week," the traditional week off for BW staff, when the print magazine is not published. I don't think shrinks get to take August off anymore, either. Leisure time is drying up. You have to schedule it in now, or you don't get it.

To wrap your text around an image positioned on the right, you have to add a few attributes to your IMG tag.

So if you wanted your text to run around the kitty graphic, I'm not sure, but I think you wouldn't be able to use the shortcut words in quotes.

You could use the shortcut to see what the full URL of the image is, then write a regular IMG tag with a couple extra things, like this:

<img src="http://static.userland.com/shortcuts/images/zeldman/kit.gif" align="right" hspace="15" vspace="5">Let's see...If I just start to type and then I insert an image like this cute little kitty, and then I will see what I get.

And you get this:

Let's see...If I just start to type and then I insert an image like this cute little kitty, and then I will see what I get.

Adjust the amount of horizontal and vertical air to suit your own taste.

iTunes again Permanent link to this item in the archive.

I can't figure out what's happening but iTunes still doesn't let a podcast feed just go do its feedy thing. When I replaced the MP3 for Friday's podcast, iTunes never bothered to look for a new file. So that must mean there's still some caching going on, right? I suppose it saves some bandwidth to update the podcast just once, when a new item is first added, then forget about it. Maybe I'll try forcing iTunes to reset my stuff by changing the number of items in the feed. That seemed to work before.
