That little college I told about yesterday, Franklin College of Indiana, was named after Benjamin Frankin. He died in 1790, so in 1834 it would have been like a college just starting up now naming itself after JFK or Malcolm X. There is a Malcolm X College in Chicago, part of the City Colleges of Chicago.
