My podcast, last one for a while Hear the answer and my plans for going on hiatus from the game. Nothing but an old stable horse Stargeek's OPML reader could be really handy for LAMPvolk: PHP script that converts an OPML file into an SQL table. Could it be that it appeals to me because I'm like an old riding-stable horse who only knows how to head back to the barn? I'm trying to embrace the extensible freedom of OPML and tags, and escape from the gridland thinking of databases and spreadsheets, but it's hard. You're encouraged in school and business to see everything in a matrix and you come to see that form as the essence of disciplined thinking. Also there is a certain comfort in the symmetry of grids, but it's really so Cartesian, repressive almost. LOL! Can you tell I'm taking vacation day today and don't have to be disciplined, and that I've been doing that dangerous Hofstadter drug the last few nights before dropping off to sleep? The book is a stretch for me and I like that. I don't have the math, and I never could play a 3-part Bach invention but I did used to like playing the 2-parters. I finally have a little extra cash; I think I'll get my piano tuned and spend some of the time I spent making my podcast on that other keyboard. About being a girl and not having the math Working on this as I do other things.... stay tuned. David Wilkinson points out the fact that Digital Divide runs on Moodle. I'm a big fan of Moodle too. One Moodle installation. The other course on that site is open to registrants only. I am not doing much with eLearning at work right now, but I used to do almost too much gushing about Moodle and Martin and the community on my other blog. |
