I remembered why I liked the Trinity sequel. Sorry Leon; go back and rest in peace, buddy. The Gallipoli part was really moving. He shouldn't have thought he had to wrap it into the Irish story. That's what made it sloppy. The battle story could have stood on its own. It struck me as I was reading about the stubborn, stupid British generals who ordered all those Anzac troops to their deaths that the mainstream media is like the old British empire. They won't consider new ways of doing things, they think of their way as the one everyone must want to emulate. They'll hold on stubbornly to their DRM, and their strongarm tactics until it's too late. |
