"I Should Be Allowed to Think," a They Might Be Giants song, always reminds me of blogging. Especially the lines,

And I should be allowed to blurt the merest idea
If by random whim, one occurs to me

The chat box I've been using encourages blurting with limited consequences. I can complain about work and the words go away the next day or in a few days. Anne called it "frictionless blogging." Hil channeled Erica Jong and proposed "zipless blogging." Today I thought about the TMBG song and liked the idea of "zipless blurting." Sounds a little... orgasmic, but, oh well.

I'm helping Anne get ready for the Office 2.0 Podcast Jam next week. She's done a great job organizing this thing. Just finishing up the OPML file for it. Next step, I'm going to have another go at styling Optimal in the Jam site's baby blue and magenta. Follow along with the changes and mistakes below.
