There's so much ad space devoted to security in IT magazines and websites. I know IT managers like to think about it, but do you think they are as eager to read about it as the advertisers are eager to advertise about it? I wonder. I've seen this kind of uni-dimensional ad content in other verticals. When there's a disconnect between the editorial content and the ad content it always makes me wonder if the ads are sending a subliminal message of an unintended nature: this publication isn't meant for me.
