Camping and road trips and wifi? 
Often throughout the summer we (my family and I) like to go camping or on road trips..
| | We just love the outside life and going to new places. Sometimes however I need to connect or hookup to the internet to look after business. This can be really difficult particularly for campsites over here in Europe. I am however hoping this will change soon. In the meantime I have found this site WirelessTrips.com which is just the sort of thing I need. At the moment it is US biased, but there is nothing stopping this going world wide. It's also the kind of thing I guess Dave would like on his travels. It also uses google maps to show wirless points and routes etc.. so it's pretty cool. |

| | And whilst I'm on the subject of camping I see Bar Camp has been announced by Andy at reoriginalize and a wiki has already been started. Brilliant alternative to Foo Camp in my opinion and will be much more successfull I'm sure because it's open . The reason I mention it is because I was thinking of doing something similar in the UK next summer either that or just some geek camping (we were originally going to call it opencamp but this is an unfortunate a double entendre  ), let me know if your interested and we can use the Bar camp idea instead if Andy is ok with that, Also if anyone has ideas for a venue let me know! |
