Is it like opening on Broadway when the show comes to the Bay area? Nice to see Dave get lots of recognition as a result of the road show. It must feel great to have people like Ray Ozzie show up for these things. John Scully attended the one in New York. Does Ozzie's interest mean that the collaboration aspect of this tool is the hot thing? Is Microsoft thinking about building something like it into SharePoint or the Live Communications bundle? Or maybe there's no meaning to read in. Maybe he just felt like geeking out on a Saturday night. New passage in play in my lit game Steve Baker for Business Week's Blogspotting draws an apt analogy. It's a baby version of the changes page in Flash in OPML to put on your sidebar. I wonder if he could make it so you can configure the number of blogs displayed. Mine is having a hard time displaying. You know what else would be cool? Display a little thumbnail of the blog's home page. You've seen it done in certain directories. There's a free service that helps you do that. The free version doesn't crawl everything on the web, so you might have to pay. Darn, I can't think what it's called now but I do remember spending a long time searching for it! It wouldn't be for your blog's sidebar, but for an alternate version of the changes page. |
