I listened to Mr. Dave's Wednesday night podcast. I don't know what all of it was about, but something hit me when the song from Tommy was stuck in my head today. I'm about the same age as Dave so I have MP3s of The Who and Randy Newman, too.

I had vinyl of the Tommy and Little Criminals albums. Actually I think my brother probably got Tommy. He got all the good records we bought together; he says I got all the good ones. One thing I love about the Randy Newman album is a loping western song called "Rider in the Rain," with The Eagles doing the backup vocals. I love it when stars do session work.

Maybe it's what made me think that the song from Tommy had a cantering feel and the melody could have been the theme from a 60s American TV western. Maybe I'll show you what I mean and find some TV themes and that song Dave played that he didn't mean to play. Did he play Go to the Mirror, and meant to play Smash the Mirror? I'll figure it out.

Hang on a second, I'll be back...

Oops. Maybe I'll show you the TV western themes tomorrow. Got sidetracked and found a bunch of They Might Be Giants stuff. So funny. Have I ever showed you the thing from "I Palindrome I," that I made one of the many times I've started to teach myself Flash? I didn't sync it up very well, but that's how you learn, right?

Start the word palindrome.
