What would integration with Google Talk do? Permanent link to this item in the archive.

The Sojourner mentions the release of the Google Talk API. I'm dense. What kinds of things would hooking up to Google Talk do for the OPML Editor? Would VoIP become part of the buddy window component? What kinds of uses could it be put to? I'm not questioning its utility, I just unable to picture the possibilities right now.

Further on other enclosure file types Permanent link to this item in the archive.

Heard from Michael Specht an HR blogger in Oz with an interest in online learning. He happens to be about the only other blogger in the world other than me who seems to think OPML has a future as the basis for a learning management system (LMS). But this time he's on a different same track as me: thinking about different types of file types as enclosures in RSS feeds. He's been trying PDFs. We're both wondering how it happened that audio and video are the only things anybody ever think about enclosing.

I don't know why I didn't think of it before, but I wouldn't have to merely link to the guessing form for my podcast game. I could have a form in either a Flash or a PDF file. I know how to do PDF forms, sort of. I'd have to get some smart lessons about Flash forms.
