These people don't like women.

There are other women who like men and will defend them, surely you can admire one who doesn't tell abused women to just snap out of it and take control of their lives. That attitude is just one point that proves this battered men movement is completely full of shit. Abused women are so afraid, so beaten down that some of them are unable to pick up the pieces. The first and key thing is fear. You just have to use your common sense to know that the tables don't turn. Most men will never know that cycle of fear in the face of anger, supression of their own desires to stave off the anger, and resulting helpless cowering in the corner.

Dave, you're a Stephen King fan. I don't read him but I hear he's lately woven the psychology of abuse into his stories. Think about it. I'm begging you not to give these types any credence.
