Replace the radio program director with a 'listening list' I haven't listened to this podcast by Eddie Dickey, but I thought the idea was interesting: "I talk about Tivo and podcasting and why RSS is so powerfull in combination with a system like AmigoFish. And how an rss feed or a list of them (Listening List) could approximate radio." I reported on a few tests of the IE7's RSS discovery and subscriptions on my learnandteach blog, if you're interested. Almost better, I think. I'm certainly in a much better mood. Read Dave's state of the union message I like it. As a novel reader of course I don't think there's anything wrong with dipping into a fictional world. I think it's an aid to valuable "what iffing" in the real world. Community menu Change community to support.opml.org Re-register, also under the Community menu When I think of a working community server, I keep thinking about an intranet setup with the instant outlining bits at least as important as the blogging tool. It's ideal for that, don't you think? Is it going to need a dedicated server? Anybody have an idea of whether it will work on a shared hosted account? What kinds of rights are needed? Looks like Kosso's got the community server working. I'd volunteer to do the docs, but I'm too lazy. Well, maybe if I had a rough outline to work from. Or, Lisa, were you planning to do it? (Oh, pssst.... Dan. Nice work getting Kosso feeling all competitive. ;-) That sum we agreed on will be on its way to you once the second install can be replicated.) Really, though, this is great. A huge step. Relieves some pressure on Dave. Moves this thing into the next phase. All kinds of good things can happen now. Excellent! |
