I wish I had a big block of time to pick this up in a hurry.

Found something interesting in the docs:

 Radio Hosting

Your Manila site's discussion group can serve as a host for a community of Radio users. If you enable this feature, Radio weblog authors can to use your discussion group for comments.

I wonder if we could, if we should, how we would make that work for our beta blog community.

And I wonder if the community server does, or if it could be easily modified by people who will be running hosting services to do the same thing. Sounds like just the sort of thing Donovan has been talking about for his little future cuddly congregation. ;-)

Cool, the queen of whimsy is in! Permanent link to this item in the archive.

Hil says she'll do some illustrations for the new 1.0 site. I have some sketchy ideas, but always like to see what she comes up with too. And even though it's a community deal, we sort of have a client; Dave ought to sign off on a concept before she spends hours on a drawing.

Cowskull Permanent link to this item in the archive.

What does it mean? I see in the Manila docs that the "cowskull is a link that calls up your Home Page as a DG Message." But I don't get the symbolism.

Later: Les gave me a hint and now I think I get it.

Icons, icons Permanent link to this item in the archive.

I like Hil's arrows in the almost circle. They all look so crisp and tidy. Wonder if she made them in an icon program. No, looking at them in Photoshop, they don't seem to be real icons yet. Maybe she sketches them, then magnifies to see how make them in Icon Forge or whatever.

But it looks like maybe it's going to be the red arrow, anyway. I'd kind of like to see it a little darker red. I'm using a blacker, bluer OPML logo on the draft support site, and matching all the reds to it. Or can you only have 16 colors for some icons? That can't be the case any more -- can it?

It's #9E0902 or 158,9,2 -- a little more blue and green in it.

(I think Dan's probably about ready to slap me. ;-) I'm a notorious fussbudget about colors. Just ask Hil. I'm hoping to talk her into volunteering to do some illustrations for the OPML site. I'm really liking this style she's been developing of late, and using in the "technical drawings" on her Monkey See site.)
