They're all me Permanent link to this item in the archive.

Made to illustrate this. Now I think I'll move on to producing me as a rousing Russian chorus. Would I have to do harmony to make it sound something like the music in Hunt for Red October or Dr. Zhivago? Ever hear the Leningrad Cowboys and the Red Army Choir? Hilarious. I didn't even mind them murdering The Turtles' "Happy Together."

Hil makes a circular argument Permanent link to this item in the archive.

I was fresh out of clever when Dave posted an invitation to write a caption of the Arrington/Gates photo. Hil, the puppetmaker, picked up on what the hands might be doing, and naturally thought of dual ventriloquists. Apt, in a way. A meeting like that is meant to involve transparently mutual stringpulling. Wouldn't it be nice if everything was that out in the open?

Enjoying hearing from readers Permanent link to this item in the archive.

Since my e-mail icon went up I've been hearing from more blog readers. I like that. Now, what about blog comments for 1.0? I'm guessing no support for them. That means we should have instructions on how to do the Halo thing on the support site. Are there other methods that should be mentioned? I'll post this over on the volunteer discussion site. If you know of other 3rd-party systems or want to volunteer to write and/or screencast a howto, post a response.

OPML job listings Permanent link to this item in the archive.

A headhunter in New York plans to put job listings in OPML. He started down this road from a post on RSS feedy job listings, commented on by all the usual suspects in the reading list discussion.

What the recruiters really should do is pool their listings in a distributed directory. I don't know much about that business. I'd imagine it's pretty competitive, but in the end, I have to believe if you give your prospects what they need, you end up profiting.
