Seriously bummed -- why me? 

The apartment above me caught fire this afternoon, sprinklers came on and on. Water, water everywhere here.

I should be thankful it wasn't worse. My place didn't burn, right? The water didn't get anywhere near things that really don't like water like computers, my piano, and my books. Right?

There's a mess, and the noise from the fans is pretty distracting. They left a bnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn huge dehumidifer, a rrraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa huge air scrubber and four other loud industrial-strength blower things I have to leave on overnight.

I might go sleep in a hotel. Or maybe I'll turn on music so loud that it seeps into adjacent apartments.
