Finished my move 

It feels so cleansing to get rid of things I don't use.

I'm pretty much settled in. It's nice to have my mom around during a move. She likes to get the new place looking comfortable right away, or at least bits of it, so you don't feel all jumbled.

It worked fine to have the five 17-year-olds move my piano. I didn't want to be around when they did it. My mom was shocked that I could stand not being there managing the process but I figured I'd be a foreigner. These guys are friends and already a team, all belonging to the club at school that takes care of backstage stuff at the auditorium. Seemed like they must have a way of communicating with each other already to do things like raise a two-story set or something, you know?

Tonight after I spent the day by myself cleaning up the old place I treated myself to a $16 jar of coconut lime verbena body butter, soaked my feet and gave myself a foot massage. I was Jesus and Mary Magdalene all at the same time.

Comcast fails me again 

Cable guy came on Friday. TV is fine, but my internet doesn't go yet, they say because I have my own modem. It only took filling out a form online when I bought it, but now it has been given to the "task group," which I guess means it's been escalated to a higher support level. They're taking their time getting it straightened out. I have great wifi from somewhere so I haven't been desparate about it, but pretty soon we'll have to set up the network and I'll need to get firm with somebody. Don't you hate having to do that to get what you've got coming to you?
