Drop off the key, Lee, and get yourself free Tom's over there thinking again. FTP this time. In a way it seems a shame to turn riding stable horse and run home to the FTP barn. Upstreaming is part of what makes blogging with the OPML Editor feel so light and quick and unique. I do think it makes sense to have FTP as an option, and of course I think the OPML Community Server has to run on Linux. I'd just hate to see too much reliance on FTP, or for it to become the default and lose a point of differentiation. 1. Don't say how often you're going to podcast, and do it when you feel like it. 2. For a podcast like the one I have neglected for five months after making 91 episodes, don't say or imply you'll do it forever. How did that expectation ever get started anyway? Can we take it back? Can the expectation be more like miniseries? Yes. Of course the podcaster has to say as much upfront or the forever expectation will persist. |
