I'm listening to some podcasts. listen.pls | How to listen. Let me know if if you see part deux of the lastest Gillmor Gang go up before I become aware of it, and I'll play it. I saw links to these blogs in a sidebar on the BlogHer conference page. I thought I'd make a quick reading list but it turned out to be a pain in the ass. It took me forever to find feeds on these blogs. Some were buried, some existed but were not displayed so I checked with other blogs on the same services for syntax. Never did find a feed on some of them. It looks like free Blogger blogs don't have them? Maybe there should be a topic at one of the roll-your-own sessions at BlogHer on making your feed link prominent (or at least existent). I snuck in the "professional" conference blogs, too, just to see how their coverage compares. Though I named the file liveblogging, the BlogHer site doesn't really make that claim; the sidebar is more generally titled "BlogHer Conference Blogs". I'd imagine some of them will be liveblogging. I will now go ahead and make a flat OPML list of the blogs having feeds, which should be suitable for use as a reading list, and able to be subscribed to in aggregators that support OPML imports. Here it is: bloghercoveragereadinglist.opml. Testing it now in NewsRiver, Bloglines and BlogBridge. Dave's hooked up the reading list to his world outline. I wonder if I did something wrong. Only one item is showing up for each blog in the big directory. Maybe that's the way it's supposed to work, but somehow it doesn't seem like enough. |
