Curling up with a website Permanent link to this item in the archive.

OK, call me shallow. After all my lofty ideas about making a space for after-conference disussion, all I've done is install the new version of Moodle and play around with the themes. But I'm having so much fun making trying it look like comfortable cute jammies. See if you think it makes you feel all tucked in. I made the backgrounds myself. When I'm working on it, it feels like I'm stitching a baby's quilt.

I'll get to the important stuff soon enough.

Thanks again, Kevin. I sub to Kevin Burton's blog where he keeps showing me the Crooks and Liars posts I need to pay attention to. The latest is the video of Keith Olberman's masterpiece commentary on Donald Rumsfeld's way-out-of-line take on Iraq dissidence.

Good application of Box.net Permanent link to this item in the archive.

BlogHer '06 conference materials can be accessed in a digital locker at Box.net. Neat use of the file storage service.

I had to make a new account to get the BlogHer folder; there didn't appear to be a way for me to have it in my existing account.

Also according to the newest BlogHer newsletter from Elise, some of the conference podcasts have been posted, including the keynotes, some conference sessions and interviews.

Recommendations for which sessions to use? Permanent link to this item in the archive.

The BlogHer recordings are arriving just in time as I'm working on this asynchronous-confererences-in-your-jammies idea. Any recommendations on sessions might be good for my LMS? It should be a topic that lends itself to lots of further discussion and offshoots.

I thought I'd use Jay Rosen's Citizen Journalism session from BloggerCon because it's well-organized and I'd like to see it in portable course form so it could be ported into other LMSs. That way the ideas could get some exposure outside the tech world.

I also thought the women's session led by Elise would be good -- simply because I'd like to talk with people about it, and because there is so much to talk about.

The neat thing about the BloggerCon sessions is the availability of the docnography outlines so you can see who's speaking on the audio recordings. It makes a perfect base for what I'm trying to do. (What is that? It's... evolving!)
