With the addition of Mary Jo Foley on ZDNet blogs, and Esther Dyson and Denise Howell coming on board a few weeks ago, the ZDNet tech blogger lineup is starting to look more like the yearbook page from a co-ed school. Good, solid names and reputations, too; these are women who know their stuff. Giving up on Yahoo Music Jukebox I can't use it as my podcatcher since it doesn't have the most recent episodes for most of the podcasts I subscribe to. They must be caching the feeds and not updating them often enough. Too bad, because I like many things about it, and I'd eventually learn not to click on the stuff I'd have to pay more. Shoot, I might even have subscribed to the for-pay stuff. I won't delete the program because they might fix this problem and I'm willing to give it another try. Seems like it would be easy to fix, but I suppose they have to invest their time in the areas that pay, and that's kids and music, not podcasts. If that's true, it's short-sighted, because chances are I'm not the only person on the planet with a non-iPod mp3 player who would switch from iTunes if Yahoo got the podcasting right, but maybe stay for the music. |
