Trying something, never mind me Permanent link to this item in the archive.

It's the little Flash mp3 player that Gerrit used in Loudblog. You have to put the swf skin file you're using in the same directory for your page, but it seems to work with a full URL.

Now let's see if I can customize it in our blue and magenta colors for the podcast jam. Guess I have to do that in Flash.

I looked around for some WP plugins but none of them moved me.

I think this is what I heard my son mumbling into his headset as he WOWs Permanent link to this item in the archive.

Oh no, now I'm dreaming about it Permanent link to this item in the archive.

In one of those just-before-you-wake-up dreams this morning, somebody said (or more likely wrote) "I'm totally excited about this OPML fiction."

I woke up and wondered for a minute what OPML fiction might be. One form it might take is a story with varying levels of detail. The reader could pick a short, medium or long version of each chapter. Actually, that might be a better idea for textbooks.

You could also use OPML to construct interactive fiction, where the reader picks any of a number of paths the plot could take. I tried writing one of those once. It gets really complicated fast if you put in very many branching points.

I love upstreaming Permanent link to this item in the archive.

I put my shoutbox back in the sidebar. It had been acting up. I added a graphic to explain how the chat usually is used asynchronously even though it's live. The images for my blog template are in my OPML Editor's www folder, so I can twiddle to my heart's content and resave and the new graphic is on the server. Upstreaming is heaven-sent for twiddlers.
