Enough with the Anna Nicole 'news' already! 

I tend to watch MSNBC when I watch cable news, and sometimes flip between the others. I've noticed they don't make Chris Matthews do the sensationalist stories anymore. You can't help but think his stature was enhanced when it came out in the Libby trial that the VP was so obsessively worried about his point of view. A work friend said she's heard Olberman say openly that he hates it when they make him cover the crap news. I haven't heard that but I can see the distaste on his face.

The coverage is all done with an "isn't this ridiculous" tone, as though the reporters want us to know they are embarrassed by it. Sorry, that doesn't mitigate devoting the time to it. I wanted to watch Matthews in Springfield this morning for the Obama announcement, but with all the Anna stuff mixed in, I might take my attention to another medium.
