Preoccupied, but that's OK these days Wow, I heard in the background of my environment some testy talk about Iraq on Meet the Press that I'm sure I'll want to pay attention to later via podcast, and may find fodder for a Sprae Ann interview. Finally cleaning up my Drupal install. The dB gets corrurpted on a whim and I spent the whole hour dropping tables (on my toes, ouch). Damn, though, I was hurrying because I was looking forward to my new favorite Sunday morning show, The Chris Matthews Show. It's syndicated and my local NBC affiliate regularly drops it in favor of sports programming, apparently giving it no more thought than I give to dropping tables from my little-used Drupal blog. If broadcast stations see that their own actions are driving us more to cable news and the internet I guess they don't care, but they will care one of these days soon. I suppose the common wisdom is that Chicago folks are sports nuts, period, never mind that the Matthews show is a smash success among the news panel shows. Not me. Oh well. Bye, and I won't watch your local news either. So there. The Matthews show doesn't have a podcast but is replayed on CNBC in the evening when I'm no longer in that "gimme my politics" mood. LOL! The reasons for Dave's post illustrations often elude me. Just naturally dense, I guess. This one had me stumped and confused. First thing I saw was a mattress in that little white cube, but I guess it's an Airport. I was scratching my head. Huh? Going to the mattresses? And what does the Bob Hope picture mean? This is all showbiz? Doing a tap dance? He keeps ya guessing. Tease. Too many Dave posts. Sorry, I'll stop again for a while. Later: my buds Miss M and Peggy thought it was a mattress too! See blurts. So we're all dense. Or we all three see mattresses as a matter of course. Sort of a sexual Rorschach. (What do you know, I guessed the right spelling of that, and it surprised the heck out of me.) |
