Ah, universities are so lofty and idealist, aren't they 

Gotta love it and roll your eyes at the same time. What inspired this reflection? A tagline at the bottom of an e-mail from the Iowa State Union's guestrooms coordinator:

"The Mission of the Iowa State Memorial Union is to nurture common ground, enrich and sustain individual lives and remember."

What's the lesson? 

There's a message in here somewhere about human nature. I'm not sure if it's about substance abuse or a compulsion to do things you don't instinctively care for, or simultaneous pleasure and pain, or acquired tastes -- or what. (It's a Mango s/he's sampling.) I love the honesty of babies.
