Did a quick screencast of the Gadgets on my Google start page. I rambled a little, forgetting that Jing has a 5-minute limit. It sure is a handy little service, improving all the time, and you can't blame them for having a limit, those things can get really big real fast. I use it some for process documentation at work. It's such a throwaway thing that you tend not to fuss with it, like I do if I make a screencast with something like Captivate. The audio level is too low and I'm croaking, but there's something so temporary about the kinds of things you're moved to illustrate with it that you just don't fiddle. I never thought about it but it would be a good tool if you thought you might like to do a more formal screencast. You could dash off a draft in Jing, then judge if the topic would even make a good screencast. Should have pointed out that the Grazr widget was generated from a Terraminds search feed.
