I haven't read or heard any commentary that Clinton's latest raspberry on hope is a smart tactic. How can ridiculing my enthusiasm put me on your side? It sounds so desperate, totally based on envy, and that makes me feel embarrassed for her. She's playing only to voters already in her camp, not unlike Ann Coulter in that respect.
Should some Huckabeean miracle occur, and she does win the nomination, she'll have some fences to mend with me. A sorry business.
Maybe that's what Nader is thinking -- that a citizen like me would never in a million years vote for McCain, mostly because of the war. I'd cast a resentful vote for Hillary regardless, and spend four years wondering what might have been. Nader will pick up some protest votes from some of the millions like me who are smarting from her derisive view of we poor, sorry sheep-like schmucks.
