A conservative blog reveals the shocking truth that Obama had the nerve to nod in agreement in church to this statement by Pastor Wright: "Wright laced into America's establishment, blaming the 'white arrogance' of America's Caucasian majority for the woes of the world, especially the oppression suffered by blacks. To underscore the point he refers to the country as the 'United States of White America.' Many in the congregation, including Obama, nodded in apparent agreement as these statements were made." Other conservative bloggers are linking and saying "Ah-HA -- gotcha ." So he is a Black supremacist. *rubs hands* No. From where I sit, if those words frighten you, you either don't care about social justice, or you're only paying lip service to it. If agreeing with that statement makes him a hatemonger or a supremacist, then I guess you'd better sign me up because it makes me one too. It's exactly what I'd expect to hear in that church. Actually, it doesn't sound too unlike statements I may have nodded to as one of two white employees in a 30-person department in the city schools in St. Louis back in the 70s. Grasping at a benign statement like that tells more about the messenger than it reveals about Obama as the target of the criticism. You're talking to yourselves again, righties. Your "dirt" feels like clean sand sifting through my fingers. Not working, better try something else. We'll wait right here. |
