Who won by more (when they won)? I figure if Evan Bayh can make up new measures for judging who's ahead in the nomination race, so can I. Here are the margins of victory by the Democratic candidates in the primaries and caucuses to date. Obama's average margin was 27.6 to Clinton's 13.7. Google spreadsheet is here if you don't want to view it all scwinched up. It probably doesn't mean much, but I think it may mean something, when taken together with other factors. Spreadsheet gadgets seem a little buggy still; I kept losing them. After I'd saved them, they reduced to lines I couldn't click on and I'd have to make another one. And, the header row merged with the first data row. And you can't control the column width. And other problems. Beta. Or I'm doing something wrong in my first play with them. I have hopes for them, though. At the very least I think it's cool you can make map gadgets by entering addresses into a spreadsheet. Do you know how long it took me to figure out the maps API? Like two whole days to get it looking halfway OK. |
