I couldn't believe how candid this local politician was about why she signed up for Clinton early on but has come to regret it. It was on NPR yesterday morning. What I keep thinking about the superdelegates: those with hopes for favors or jobs aren't afraid that Obama will be keeping a little notebook of friends and traitors. They are worried that the Clintons keep close tabs on who their friends aren't. (Remember Nixon's enemies list?) I imagine they're like the baseball runner who sees a pretty good opening to steal a base. Every instinct says "go." Then, no, better not. Thinking we might see an upset tonight in PA. Nobody's been able to explain all those newly registered Democrats. |
