elliptical . . . OPML blog

Yes, please, always. Permanent link to this item in the archive.

I find myself copying a lot of outline urls using the community menu's Get Outline URL... selection.

OPML Editor always asks if I really want to copy that value to the clipboard. Of COURSE I do. I wouldn't have asked, otherwise.

Bored with this, I hunted it down and killed it:

 in Window -> dotOpml.root -> dorOpmlSuite -> opmlOrg -> menuCommands, open getOutlineUrl

 I commented out the line:

if dialog.twoway ("Copy: \"" + url + "" to the clipboard?", "Copy", "Cancel")

 then I promoted the line:

 clipboard.putvalue (url)

 one level and uncommented it.

Bingo! No more confirmation.

Strange Visio object model wierdness Permanent link to this item in the archive.

The Count property of the Section object returns the number of rows in the ShapeSheet section.

One would think thatthe proper object path for this property would be Section.Rows.Count, but there is no Rows collection of a Section object.

Visio is indeed the bastard step-child of the Microsoft Office Object Model family.

but now it is. Permanent link to this item in the archive.

OPML Edtior and microfomats? Permanent link to this item in the archive.

I wonder how easy/hard it would be to incorporate microformats in an OPML Editor-handled blog?

In some ways, using the OPML Editor for microcontent would be pretty cool. I'll give it a try later.

Looks like a lot of new OPML blogs in other languages than English, today Permanent link to this item in the archive.

Recently not having much to say here, I'm going to play around with putting my food-log (flog?) here to try to track my weight-loss efforts/

I'm under no illusion that anyone will want to read this, but maybe itll keep me honest ;->
