A note about the Synchronize function of the coriHacks tool. It does not properly synchronize outlines that have non-standard URLs. For example, an outline with a URL: "http://hosting.opml.org/cori/misc/OPML Editor ThinkList.opml" does not synchronize properly, while one with a URL of "http://hosting.opml.org/cori/misc/OPMLEditorThinkList.opml" does. OPML Editor itself, on the other had, can load an OPML file from the former URL with no difficulties. This seems to occur when running the dotOPMLSuite.folderWatcher.getFilesChangedSince script directly as well, so I think the weakness (if you can call it that) is there. Found yet another new use for OPML outlines In my work at the Stoughton Opera House, I have occasion, when a local group comes in to rent the space, to need to record notes about lighting and sound cues and other tasks I may have to take care of. Last night was the dress rehearsal for tonight's performance of Almost Opera & Gallantry, the inaugural production of the Stoughton Opera. I used OPML Editor to take my notes. You can take a look at them here. These nodes could be a lot more explicit; for example if I were really designing this show and had been involved from the outset, there's no reason why I couldn't have done my entire initial cue list in this format, and even scripted a way to get it into a format that a lighting board might be able to import. |
Recently not having much to say here, I'm going to play around with putting my food-log (flog?) here to try to track my weight-loss efforts/ I'm under no illusion that anyone will want to read this, but maybe itll keep me honest ;->
