Damn. I wish there were a version of Joe Gregorio's httplib2.py in PHP. I have a feeling I might have to make it myself if I really want it, but I'm lazy. Of course, I suppose I could switch to Python for FeedMagick, but I'm not to that point yet. Maybe I'll just subclass HTTP_Request with conditional HTTP GET support. Something I've learned about myself: I'm deeply unhappy unless I'm accomplishing something. And, ironically, I feel out-of-gas when I'm deeply unhappy. Sometimes, I need to bootstrap win-by-win back into a happy creative groove. The really weird thing about it is that when I hit bottom and eventually start to rise again, it often feels like I'm learning this bit about myself all over from scratch. Sometimes I feel like I'm bobbing in Vernor Vinge's Zones of Thought. Somedays, I'm dipping into the Unthinking Depths and hardly able to operate a door knob. Other days, I'm humming along at the Top of the Beyond and can practically hack the Gibson. |
