inspired by Les' instant outline, i cleaned my instant outline up a bit. i love building on prior art. ![]()
to fix my problem with newsRiver, I deleted my subscriptions as well as my aggregator data file. essentially starting from scratch and now all seems well. ![]()

dean the greasemonkey and his opml scripty ![]()
dean has created a neat way to subscribe to feeds..
I added the ability to get the clipboard text and populate the dialog box with that url. You can overwrite it if you want, but as soon as you hit enter it goes.I've coupled it with this Greasemonkey script, which adds these little badges to the top of any page that has rss/atom/rdf links. I simply right-click on the one that I want to add to the reading list. Click over to the OPML Editor and hit Ctrl+7, and then enter. The feed is put into my outline.
sysStat nano is a great mac os x widget. ![]()
now that i am much more familiar with audio hijack pro, for the first time i just felt comfortable enough to hijack itunes and insert a 10-band equalizer effect so that the music coming out of my altec lansing inMotion speakers would sound it's best. i love these speakers. they are da bomb. i use them in my car along with my ipod cause i ain't got no stereo. i use them when i give someone a massage. nothing like having an ipod full of good tunes to zone out to. they also act as an ipod dock so i can leave my desk dock at home while traveling. ![]()
i say thoughtStreams, you say rapid buffer for mental dross ![]()
looks like a few of us are using opml editor to get our thoughts down. the fact that those thoughts are immediately made public is what makes it all so interesting.
just subscribed to Les' instant outline. i see one of the Might Do items listed on his outline is an S5-powered presentation thing in OPML Editor. As I noted yesterday, such a thing already exists thanks to spaziOPML. ![]()
Les might look into spotlight support for OPML files. as Ed pointed out, mac's spotlight feature isn't aware of the information tucked away in our OPML files. ![]()
500 server error. Map does not permit operation. I get this error message when trying to View News with either newsRiver or DecafbadNewsRiver. Not sure what I did to cause this. Hmph. ![]()
