flickr group for k2 header images. great idea for community driven headers. would be great to have something like this for opml editors. Permanent link to this item in the archive.

my life. on the road. Permanent link to this item in the archive.

i ain't got a home. it's strange but true. i'm a road warrior toting an aluminum laptop named Tin Machine, seeking out wi-fi hotspots like a junky itchin' to git his next fix. today the bay, yesterday it was microsoft turf in the state just south of the border. tomorrow?

two bins green. together they hold the clothing that drapes my body from time to time. two bins blue. one holds personal effects and files. the other is the keeper of all things electronic, including cables. one backpack red. made by spire. well made, carries the laptop and more, good purchase has served me well.

essentials in volvo (i call her the vulva): sleeping pad, blankets, small pillow, small green dog tp holder, altec lansing inmotion speakers, lots of water, and lots of coins.

work. as a remote worker, it seems i am able to hop about and continue to get sites built. yes, there are challenges. i like challenges.

tools: laptop (tin machine), cell phone (cingular), internet tablet (nokia 770), iPod (40g 3G), two external hard drives, coolpad, cans, various doodads and hoohickeys to make sure i can experiment.

software: opml editor, daylite, firefox, itunes, audio hijack pro, url manager pro, web confidential, path finder, textpander, soundsource, megaseg, transmit, mail, quicksilver, netnewswire, speed download, x resource graph, textmate, dreamweaver, ibiz, minuteur, imagewell, superduper, wiretap pro, wordpress.

music: always on. can't fit my collection on tin machine so i tote around a 300G acomdata hard drive. i'd never heard of acomdata before getting this hard drive. now i love 'em. i also track everything i play on itunes and my ipod (dPod) on last.fm.

misc: i use an electric toothbrush but i also keep an old fashioned manual toothbrush in my backpack. my preferred writing surface is a US Letter size whiteboard. I like to experiment and try different things. velcro is great stuff, just keep it away from my wallet.
