"Excellent!" screeched Sprocket. Through it all, this little guy just doesn't give up or get pessimistic. "The Missing Sync for Windows Mobile (2.5b1) fixed the syncing issue we've been experiencing." Sprocket was right, it seems the main culprit that has prevented us from regular syncing has been tended to. I'm off to test..
-Issue 3961 - Fixed the "Settings are outdated" issue when synchronizing.
Yes, the issue is solved. I haven't seen the error message and I've synced a few times now.
While I was in there, I decided to read the Missing Sync manual aloud to the Team. We learned about a few features that make this software even more tasty. In particular, installing files to Sprocket, SplashPhoto, and iTunes integration.
Installing files to Sprocket is as easy as dropping them onto the Missing Sync window. Presets have been defined so that jpegs, for instance, go to the 'My Pictures' folder, while Excel documents go to the 'My Documents' folder automatically.
SplashPhoto is a slick photo viewer that comes with the software. It integrates with iPhoto so it's easy to shuttle images back and forth. This works quite well and I'm so pleased to see this kind of thought put into the product.
Finally, we learned how to mount Sprocket in iTunes and copy music over. Sprocket makes for a very good mp3 player, albeit with limited storage.
Oh, and today the software went from Alpha to Beta. These developers know their stuff. It's already working so well, that the final release should knock people's socks off.
Reposted Daisy for sale on craigslist for $1600. Tightened up the description and removed the parts about a non-working clock and non-power doorlocks. ![]()
