The Team likes running Opera on Sprocket but for $24 we wonder if there are any alternative Pocket PC browsers for free? Firefox? Is there a mobile version of Firefox? Of course there is! And here's Minimo, another one. Permanent link to this item in the archive.

Sprocket proves his worth yet again. "Skype for Pocket PC allows you to use your mobile phone to make Skype calls." Sounds good to me! I detest being tethered to my PowerBook with a USB headset. Now, all I have to do is connect to the WiFi signal with Sprocket, my XV6700 Pocket PC, and start Skype on the mobile phone. Now I have the freedom to walk about and make calls that don't impact my minutes, at least when calling other Skype people. I'll look into purchasing some SkypeOut minutes next in order to use this solution to call my non-skyping friends. According to the site, you can "make free calls within the US and Canada to both landlines and mobile phones until the end of the year" so I guess I don't have anything to lose or purchase unless I plan to call someone internatioally, which, unfortunately, I do not. Permanent link to this item in the archive.

For those of you out there who don't have a fancy pocket pc mobile phone like I do, and want to use Skype as well, consider SoonR. It allows you to still use Skype as well as connect to your PC to retrieve files and such. Apparantely, only 2% of the mobile phones out there are Blackberries and Windows Mobile phones so I'm pleased a version of Skype is available at all for Sprocket. Permanent link to this item in the archive.

It appears that a video archive of The Dog Whisperer is available online. Kudos to Ma Mere for the link. Cesar is the man. I wish he could help tame my team members the same way. Permanent link to this item in the archive.

It's official. The latest Nokia 770 software upgrade is available. Permanent link to this item in the archive.

I get this error when attempting to apply this update: Invalid FIASCO subblock count (2).

Sometimes it sucks being a Mac user. Windows and Linux people have no problems applying the Nokia 770 updates. A little love, Nokia?

"I'm a Lazy Daizy." the note said, scribbled on a napkin and shoved under my pillow as I slept. I think Daisy is worried now that we've got a potential buyer. She knows I am seeking a new Lazy Daze rig and that in order to get one, she'll have to go. Poor girl. I'll sure miss her. I can't believe I'm so attached to this Volvo, but I am.
