Arrived safely in Medford. Tomorrow, we land in Redmond, WA. I'll be taking over for Billy G. for a spell while he figures out what to do next. That Bill, he sure made something of himself. Time for me to step in and take over though. First things first. The name Microsoft has got to go. Let's make it something more macho like Megahard. Yeah. Megahard, Inc. And while we're at it, let's lose the moniker Windows. Let's call it Doors. Yeah, Megahard Doors. Now that's got pizazz. ![]()
Buffalo Exchange didn't buy one item of mine. Hmph. They never do. They are so picky. So, I'll try to unload my cool duds in Oregon or Washington. How can a vintage pair of Doc Martins not be an item of interest for a thrit shop? They are in perfect condition, too.
It seems as though we are getting Verizon coverage all the way up the I-5 thus far. The only thing I wish I had at this point is a GPS. Someday.
It'll be nice to see Jude in Medford. Jude was our neighbor in Hawaii for years until she moved back to Oregon. Jude is putting the Team up for the night so we can get a fresh start to Redmond, Washington tomorrow.
Remember, kids. When you pony up 60 bones a month to Verizon, you too can blog all the way from California to Washington, without having to seek out wifi coffee shops along the way.
Last night was nice. Lori and I went to eat at Venizio's in Berkeley. I've only been there once and it's pretty decent fare. We talked about the difficulty of owning our own businesses and other serious matters. We also bought Root Beer float fixin's but the night escaped before our very eyes and before you know it, we were fast asleep. I'm sure Lori will save it for my return trip, right?
I'm off to Buffalo Exchange to try and sell some shoes and old clothes. Can you hear the scraping noise my fingernails are making against my wallet? Hopefully they'll buy back some items that I purchased from them years ago. It is Burning Man time after all and I've definitely got some duds worthy of the playa.
Then it's off to Medford, OR to visit with Jude.
Went through storage yesterday once again. Got rid of a number of items and marvelled at how much stuff I still have. Stuff begets memories. Memories are sometimes painful. Get rid of the stuff but what about the memories? I think they will be with me even after I've rid myself of the accoutriments of a failed relationship. Oy.
