Boondocking in Niko 
It's quiet here in Golden Gate Park. The day's drive, ambling up the 101 in Niko, was a pleasant one. I was confident that she would not overheat. New heads and a new radiator saw to that. Cruising at 60MPH and sometimes 65MPH, the vehicle handled perfectly. And now I find myself boondocking for the night in beautiful San Francisco. What does boondocking mean? It means parking wherever and nite-camping. No hotel rooms for our team. Many times we'll stay with friends but now that we've got a Vanagon, we are self sufficient.
The bed in Niko is huge! I'm so glad I didn't get one of the decked out Westfalia's with all the camping gear inside. Without it, Niko is lighter, faster, and gets better gas mileage. The bed is bigger and I have more room to move around.
I can't help thinking about Chris Farley, Motivational Speaker. He lives in a van down by the river. I'm not at that stage but still similarities exist. I prefer the ocean.
A few days in the Bay and then I'm off to Washington yet again. Got to work on my hooping chops with Mr. Artformula and see him off to Burning Man.
I'm writing this post in OPML Editor in 'Offline' mode. As soon as I find some wi-fi in this great city of great solitude, I'll upstream it to the Cloud Atlas. Till tomorrow!
