I like to fly 
Today, Canton and I rendezvoused in Berkeley. It was so nice to see Canton again, in person. We spoken on the phone and via email every other day or so for the past year, doing business together as Getting Sites Built. But there ain't nothing like the real thing.
After we hung out for a spell and caught up, Canton asked if I wanted to go fly a kite. Sure! So we headed over to the Marina, and climbed the hill. And soon enough, his wing kite was flying high above our heads. It is green and shaped liked a wing. Six feet long and nearly indestructible. Canton flew it with such grace and style.
Then it was my turn. I took to it like I'd flown one before. But I hadn't. The sensation seemed so familiar to me, tugging on the strings that tethered me to the kite. Or is it the kite to me? I don't know but I think I've found a new hobby. I have got to spend more time on this earth flying kites. This kind in particular. It was so much more fun than flying a regular, old-fashioned style of kite. This was like surfing the wind. I like to surf and I love the wind. The only thing missing was a mini me on the kite, high in the air, looping here and there, diving into the clouds, living life on the wing of a dream.
