There once was a woman named Shirley
who was rather squirrely
Today I replaced two more items that were stolen from me. My wallet and my headlamp. Both are essential items in my mind. I wouldn't go anywhere without either. And now, thanks to a trip to REI in San Francisco, I have both once again.
The wallet; by Timbuktu, a San Francisco based company that makes popular and well constructed bags.
The headlamp; another Petzl for they are the best. The Tikka XP model. This one is better than my other one in a few respects. It's got a battery level indicator, wide beam and long beam, swivel mode, and the strap feels better on my noggin to boot. Oh, and it has a strobe feature which should make for good dancing effects.
Do you know how much power you consume? I don't but I'm always struggling with the lack of it. When I lived in a stationary home, I left my devices plugged in all the time. Power was no problem. It just flowed into my abode in abundance.
Not any more. My cigarrette lighter can only charge so much and when I'm not driving, all bets are off.
I need a solar panel. I need a marine battery. I need an inverter.
Or, I need to stop consuming so much power and learn to live within my limitations. And that's exactly what I'm doing.
I finally saw the musical Hair. I loved it! Why don't they make movies like that anymore?
Free wi-fi abounds in the Bay area, if you can find it. It's my little game right now. Seeking out wi-fi in every nook and cranny. I'm doing a better job of finding it but sometimes it can be difficult with all the passwords and whatnot.
I am going to call my storage area the Wizard. That way, I can say I'm off to see the wizard on a regular basis. Well, I'm off to see the wizard.
