At the weekend I was fiddling around with my OPML puppetry list, and tried out displaying it through Mike Kowalchik's Grazr. I think its so cool to be able to do this, and I'm particularly blown away by being able to read blogs in there! Mike was kind enough to mail me to about some hiccups I was having with links and how the text nodes with embedded anchor tags are handled. Thanks, Mike.

I haven't decided yet whether to dump the text notes for the moment or not. In the long run you could build up a kind of history and world map in one window and I liked the idea of including companies like Skylark, (where I first got into puppet making), which was very influencial but doesn't exist anymore.

Obviously this is just a start, the entries are fairly thin on the ground and not all linked properly yet, but I've probably got just about all the blogs down, since there are not so many of them. I've put the Grazr window in the sidebar of my real blog, Spirits Dancing.

This is what it looks like using Rowan Nairn's Opod, which uses Grazr. I think this is way cool, too, the way it expands and the appearance. There are some different kinds of hiccups in the way the file presents here, but it doesn't take away from my excitement about it all.

I had my ears adjusted last night. I thought the osteopath was joking. Now I can only hear what I want to. Permanent link to this item in the archive.
