Tom picked up on my musing the other day about tracking across-blog conversations with outlining, and has made a cool OPML interface for exploring Technorati. Just like that! You feed it a URL, either a permalink or a blog URL, and it returns a list of blogs that link to it. Then you can click on further levels to explore more. Thanks, Tom. 

NewAssignment.Net looks like a innovative and worthwhile experiment in journalism. 

The ABC has scored an immediate success with vodcasting The Chaser, and is also taking an enlightened approach to illegal clips being posted on YouTube. They've also relaunched Triple J Unearthed in a new format to allow new independent Aussie musicians the 'power to upload their own profiles and music tracks'. As they proved with their early adoption of podcasting, someone there really gets this stuff. 

Now that was strange. Over the weekend when other OPMLers were unable to update, my blog was happily updating. I did the Update Opml.root anyway. Then yesterday I couldn't update. So I went back the to manual fix, and here we are up again. I live with the daily updating time lag where what I post doesn't appear on the front page until late afternoon here, but this was about a four day hemispheric time lag!
