Check out start Permanent link to this item in the archive.

Microsoft has a preview of start, their answer to the Google home page. I'll bet that this is part of the stuff that they showed Dave under an NDA. I successfully added my rss feed to the start page!

It all started when I followed a link to KOSSOPML. I realized that he had links to outlines in his blog. Then I noticed that there was an Open URL... option on the File menu. I used it to open his kossobeeb.opml link. Then I discovered his link to the motherlode which is the entire opml contents of hosting.opml.org. This is going to be very useful. Thanks, Kosso.

The Essense of Blogging Permanent link to this item in the archive.

I think I've figured it out. Blogging is about brief, often hyperlinked, tidbits, posted in reverse chronological order, and usually comprising a couple of lines of commentary on any given topic. In short, they aren't diaries or essays or articles. That is why the OPML Editor is so conducive to creating blogs. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
