My Holiday Starts Tomorrow Afternoon ![]()
Since the company I work for takes off the week between Christmas and New Year, I found myself in the position where I could take four days of vacation and get over two weeks off in one fell swoop. I decided to go for it. Consequently, tomorrow is my last day of work until January third. I plan to spend at least some of this time working on various personal projects, most involving computers and software in one way or another.
If you've been following along here you know about my OPML project. There haven't been any more suggestions or any more interest in participation. So much for the idea of learning to use the collaborative aspects of the OPML Editor. I won't let that stop me from working on the OPML Cookbook project with Fran and/or anyone else that wants to play.
The phrase "and/or" is redundant. The word "or" means "and/or" by default. The problem is that there is no simple word in English that means "one or the other but not both". Boolean logic has the "xor" function that has that meaning but our language takes a seven word phrase to express that fact. So much for my Linguist digression.
