So do I prefer my own personal Google or my own personalised Google homepage? :) Yes, we're back again with other Bluggcast for you all. :) Bit of a rough one this, with no preparation or anything. We gotta get more of these done. Sorry for the wait. Random pseudo-techie nonsense from confused aliens from another planet (but which? :) ). My cool little button didn't survive the upgrade. But that's OK. I didn't really expect it to. I'm sure there's probably a way for me to stop all that getting clobbered. :) Does anyone know how to get the month chooser up? (I have posts from June y'see) Or will they magically appear at the end of this month? Hmm..
I just had a bit of a hack at dotOpml.root and created a New Entry Button on the 'Today's Blog Outline' window (if you know what I mean). It was really bugging me that this window lacked the functionality that the Instant outliner window has. Namely, a button which when pressed, adds a new empty outline to the top line (the IO adds the date and your initials too). So, off I go digging around in the dotPomlSuite.instantOutliner.buttons.myOutline branch and found the node which creates the button in the IO window. So I selected it and copied it, then went digging and found the dotOpmlSuite.blog.buttons branch and pasted the 'New Entry' node in there. I then commented out the date and initials line with a double-slash and changed the second parameter of the next line to 'up' instead of 'right'. Then I hit the compile button and reopened today's outline window... Voila!! A New Entry button!! I like this. I like this ALOT. Time for bed. I don't know if this change will survive an update. Hmm... 27/07/05; 04:41:41 by K << To insert the date and your initials, hit Ctrl+4 If anyone manages to work out how to create scripts which add custom attributes, I'd love to know. Ta ;) Just have a very quick fiddle with the template editor on this baby. I think I will be adding alot of Flash to this page, all nice fed by opml and rss files and feeds I have around here and the out there on the web. Mmmm.... future data orgy!! :) Dave's Keynote speech from Gnomedex5.0 Sorry if the levels are a bit whack, and someone had a mobile on nearby, at the start. But keep going. It gets good. And you must stick arond to hear the hearty rendition of Yellow Submarine! Hah! :) Click on this little old speaker icon here >> Found my old posts using the OPML Editor during Gnomedex :) Which is just as well, because here's Dave's keynote speech from Gnomedex5.0 !! :) |
