COMMENTS AND TRACKBACKS Permanent link to this item in the archive.

Tom has used Haloscan to implement comments and trackbacks on his OPML blog. Cool! I've been wondering if it's possible to activate comments though a Manila server, like you do in Radio. Hmmm...

shortcuts r00l! quote ;-> quote

They're in user.html.glossary in opml.root AFAIK

FLICKR BADGES Permanent link to this item in the archive.

As you can see, I've added my Flickr badge to my template down there on the right. :)
If you open this outline in your editor, you'll see the magic ingredients :)

SHORTCUTS Permanent link to this item in the archive.

I see that David Wilkinson has been playing with the Shortcuts (ie placing a word or phrase in quotes and the system converting it to some html, like a link or an image etc.

Radio has this functionality too. Now, I wonder where we find the table of Shortcuts in theOPML editor, or does this happen on the server, out of the box?

WHAT THE HACK!? Permanent link to this item in the archive.

What The Hack is an outdoor hacker conference/event which took place on a large event-campground in the south of The Netherlands from 28 until 31 July 2005.

 Events like What The Hack take place every four years, and originate from a group of people that was originally centered around a small hacker magazine called Hack-Tic

Here's a page with lots of links to video etc from the event, including a great presentation on software patents and intellectual property and also one on unlocking and reverse-engineering the XDA

SORTED! Permanent link to this item in the archive.

I was getting annoyed with the lack of alpha sorting on the big user list MOTHERLODE

 http://hosting.opml.org/index.opml

So, I created a 'SORT BY ALPHA' right click menu command. Here's now I did it... (easy)

 1. Go to menu Tools > Edit right-click menu

 2. Create new line.

 3. Type 'SORT BY ALPHA'

 4. Double click it

 5. Type this single line:

 op.sort()

 6. Close the window

 7. Open the big user list above

 This can take some time, as it's quite big, showing the need for an icon swap (or temporary text addition - downloading )

 8. Select a name and right click to tyour new SORT function

 9. Voila!!! SORTED! :)

GOOGLE EARTH ROCKS! Permanent link to this item in the archive.

I've been playing with Google Earth, since fiddling with Google Maps over on Geepster and I have to say it's pretty bloomin amazing stuff. I'm very interested in seeing how it could hook up communities like this. Visually, y'know? ;) Fly byyyyy! Heh

I have been capturing video from the screen which I'll post soon. It's great to plot your journeys and fly to and from places you've been to.

Maybe I'll do GoogleGames? :) 'Where's Dave?' or 'Track Adam'! Hehehe! I love it! :))
