We really need 'shared outlining', so many people can contribute to a single outline document (or nodes). That way, we wouldn't need Yahoo! Groups (which are good, don't get me wrong). The 'central' file would probably be on the server.
I think to do that, we'd also need a way to also subscribe and contribute at a certain 'level' or 'node' - would the 'hoist' functionality come in here somewhere? I wonder...Hmmm.. there's something similar there.. somewhere)
Or could the directory functionality of the server do this?
Syncing is going to be a pain. What about 'diff'? Hmmm...
Jabber?
Hut?
Thinking out loud? Moi? Maybe time for an OPML users podcast?

Hmm.. am I updating?
UK OPML BLOGGERS?
OK. So, it's just gone midnight here in the UK, and the server doesn't know that yet, and so it doesn't render 'today' yet. If I closed and reopened 'today's' outline window now, I would get a blank outline, because the editor knows it's the 25th now. The server's in a different timezone. When I'm tucked up in bed, the server will still be partying in the evening, along with alot of users, I imagine.
So, this has got me wondering how many other UK users there are.
In fact, I think I'll make a little button or flag for people to out on their blogs (or maybe one of those cool world maps with a moving shadow?!) to show everyone where in the world they are. Hell, I we could use google maps (if they made it easier to use the api key in more than one folder - 'home' would work though)
It might help people create their own little junkets : all over the world.
