KATRINA GOOGLE MAPS BEFORE & AFTER 

Google maps have made it so that when you close in on Louisiana, a new map type button appears labelled 'Katrina'. This will show you the latest satellite imagery from the damage in New Orleans. Clicking the Satellite button back and forth will let you see the image before and after for a comparison.

PHP XML BLISS 

I just have to share with you guys how utterly and stupefyingly easy PHP version 5 makes XML parsing. I've only just got round to have a look at this latest version.

They have rewritten a load of it and included a whole bunch of new stuff to makes life easier for the XML-loving developers out there (like me)

Here's an example of a script which parses this blog's RSS feed:

No idea yet how this performs on massive files though.
