AJAX BLOWS ME AWAY 
Despite loving developing rich web applications in Flash, I am constantly blown away by what is possible with AJAX.
I have created so many web UIs over the years, with all sorts of states, forms, folders and options etc for web CMS, Multimedia consoles and SMIL publishing. I wish Ajax had been around then. It makes the whole web experience so much more enjoyable, when applied in a nice way.
Check out BackBase, who I have just found via Googling Ajax stuff . They have some incredible demos and a free (non-profit) installation of all the bits you need to get going.
