IT HAS TO BE TODAY Permanent link to this item in the archive.

OMFG! This won't mean anything to anyone else but me. But it just occurred to me that today (in UK date format) is 16.09 !!!

Does anyone have a number they see over and over and over agian in their life. The amount of times I have noticed '1609' for YEARS has become so bizarre that I now consider it 'my number'. Walking past clocks, seeing '16:09', glancing at a PC clock. This number seems to subconsciously wave at me, begging me to see it. I don't go looking for it.

I've always wondered if there was any significance? Would I die at nine minutes past four? Will something happen on September the 19th?

Well, it appears that there now HAS to be. It's today. It's 18:04 GMT. I have a few more hours to do it (in this timezone, at least! heh! ) ;)

 Vroot! Vroot! Come oN!!!!! *click*click*click*click*!!!

WHEN YOU LEAST WANT A BROKEN MONITOR Permanent link to this item in the archive.

The day before you plan to release an application!

This morning, my main monitor decided to die on me. What crappy timing! It's bad at any time, but even worse when an environment you work in for so long on a product suddenly shrinks in size. I'm on my old 15 inch monitor now, and boy do I feel cramped and claustrophobic! I'm used to having it alot bigger. It's like the good old days I suppose. This monitor got me through so many hours of development, as I built Smibase, so it's an old friend.

I suppose I could always have the full res screen on my wall here, as I have a projector that would do it :) Hmmm... Six foot wide web browsing and development anyone?

Fortunately, Samsung had a great customer service rep I spoke to, and they'll be shipping me a replacement in '5-8' working days.

Better than going and buying a new one, I suppose. But a real bummer for sure! Argh!!! Why me!!!!????

Still, I progress onwards though...

Looky here... people who publish with the podbat will have a landing page on podbat.net, if they want to (despite everything being published to their own server) and they'll have some nifty tools and stuff there eventually to play with and click. The main thing is, the app worked and published this page! Woo!!

I may try and do a screencast demo later.
